Walking Together:  Finding Common Ground Through Racial Reconciliation

  • Workshops with  Episcopal Church leaders to build bridges  with Indigenous communities.

  • Develop and implement a Mobile Exhibit  in collaboration with Northern Michigan University  Heritage Center. the Native American Studies Program and the Native American Language and Culture  Club which will include recorded stories to help  people gain a better understanding of Native American history and traditions, and challenge the stereotypes that create barriers.

   

Becoming Beloved Community Grant

  • Additional Shared Humanity Workshops as a tool to prepare church leaders for having difficult conversations about injustice, healing and reconciliation.

  • Youth Programming - Curriculum , research, evaluation and material development for annual one week summer camp and development of peace camp tool kits.

  • Add a Native American Resident Elder/Knowledge Keeper position to the Diocesan Leadership Team

Walking Together: Protecting Our Common Ground

  • Focused on strengthening relationships by working together with our Indigenous neighbors to address the most pressing earth care issues as identified by the five Indigenous-led Networks located throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

  • Create and sustain a network of Indigenous leaders from each of the five Tribal communities and church leaders
